July 7, 1920 postcard from Charlie to Lou Emma

His wife back in Spray, Lou Emma, never knew where he was or when he’d come back.  From time to time she might get a telegram
- he’d  be in some place like Ohio, asking her to wire him some money to get home.  Or one day, without warning, he might
stumble into the house carrying a sugar sack and dump piles of money on the bed - money he’d made out on the road.
